“I’ve always wanted to help people, and this is what led me to pursue a career in medicine. I chose to specialize in ear, nose and throat medicine because I was intrigued by the complexity of the head and neck anatomy. In addition, I felt this specialty allowed tremendous opportunities to make an immediate impact on the lives of patients of all ages. There are always advances being made in ENT medicine, and I make a point of staying on top of them through continuing education and membership in many professional medical societies. My patients trust me with their care, so I owe it to them to offer the best treatments available.
“Next, I am committed to providing patients with focused, friendly and unhurried care that makes them feel comfortable and informed. I take the time to listen to their concerns and answer their questions. I also thoroughly explain any proposed treatment in simple, easy-to-understand language. It’s the same level of outstanding care that I would want for my own family members.”
In her spare time, Dr. DePasquale enjoys waterskiing, singing and playing the piano.

Rick Silverman, BC-HIS

“I first learned about hearing care through several family friends who had been involved in the profession for many years. Hearing about the latest advances in hearing instruments and how they can improve a patient’s quality of life was very interesting to me. In fact, it’s why I decided to become a hearing instrument specialist. I went on to attend Eastern Michigan University and today offer my patients over 14 years of clinical experience. I am also proud to have become a nationally board-certified hearing instrument specialist.
“For me, there is no greater feeling than helping improve the lives of individuals with hearing loss. I do this by offering comprehensive care; everything from state-of-the-art hearing tests and 100% digital and programmable hearing aids to assistive listening devices and more. Equally important, I provide my patients with the honest, unhurried and highly personalized care they deserve. I will listen to their concerns, answer their questions and recommend the most appropriate hearing solution based on their individual needs and budget.”
Rick’s personal interests include boating, fishing and surfing, as well as handyman projects. His greatest achievement and enjoyment comes from spending time with his three young granddaughters. Rick knows what a loss it would be if he could not hear their small voices, and this motivates him to help his hearing-impaired patients regain the ability to communicate with their loved ones.
