During the balloon sinuplasty procedure, she inserts a thin catheter followed by a balloon to open and widen the wall of the sinus passageway, allowing sinus fluids to drain.
Until now, minimally invasive balloon sinuplasty had to be preformed in the operating room. Dr. DePasquale is the first and only doctor in St. Augustine, Florida to offer this procedure in office. Most people return to work or their normal activities within 24 hours.
